Community tops annual “best of” lists

The Daily Journal asked and the people of Farmington answered—voting Farmington Presbyterian Manor to the top of three categories in the paper’s recent “Best of” survey.

Named “Best Independent Living Facility,” “Best Assisted Living Facility” and “Best Skilled Nursing,” the community was the only organization to win in more than one category. And while the community is used to receiving accolades, the results of this survey are particularly special.

“We’re a five-star rated Medicare campus, and we were the only senior living community in Farmington to receive a Best Nursing Home rating from U.S. News and World Report in 2017-2018. But this is different,” said Jane Hull, executive director of Farmington Presbyterian Manor. “This is the community giving us their vote of confidence.”

Readers were allowed to cast one vote per day. However, when all was said and done, more than 80,000 total votes were cast.

“The fact that the community would take the time and effort to vote for us makes this really special. It tells us that they have the faith in us and the quality of care we deliver,” said Anne Allen, director of marketing and development. “These are the people who have been through our doors and have had an experience with us—it’s personal to them.”

Certificates given to the community will be framed and hung to recognize all staff members who contribute to the compassionate and mission-driven services provided through Farmington Presbyterian Manor.

Our leadership team is proud of this accomplishment. In the photo at the top, back row, from left to right: Dana Nicholson, Anne Allen, Shane Bone, Carol Winch and Dena Dotson. Front row, from left to right: Peggy Bland, Kaye Keith, Jane Hull and Rachel Campbell.
