ART IS AGELESS®

FIND THE ARTIST INSIDE YOU

What age do you have to be to start creating amazing works of art? When does the creative spark fade? Encouraging older adults to take up the arts and express themselves is a natural fit for Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s focus on individual well-being. At Farmington Presbyterian Manor, we encourage you to find and nurture your creative side through our popular and award-winning Art is Ageless® program.

Since 1981, this award-winning program has been helping residents discover their inner creativity through a wide variety of art classes and programs. Through the program, our campus holds an annual art exhibit and competition open to residents and friends of Presbyterian Manor age 65 and older. Winners are entered in the masterpiece level competition and selected for the annual Art is Ageless® calendar.

  • A wide variety of art classes and programs
  • Partnership with local arts group, local art exhibits and competitions for residents and local amateur or professional senior artists
  • A yearly exhibit and juried art competition, with winning pieces featured in our annual Art is Ageless® calendar

Residents and friends of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s Art is Ageless® program are proving that art, in any form, is an ageless ambition, whether you picked up a brush for the first time before reaching 20 or completed your first drawing after turning 80.

This special program is open to residents and Emporia, Kansas, community members alike, helping us forge a unique community of people expressing themselves through art. For more information about this senior arts program, visit ArtIsAgeless.org.
