Volunteers recognized at annual awards banquet

On April 11, we celebrated and recognized the 65 volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy to our community every day. The event started with a delicious meal prepared by our dining services department and included entertainment by Stormy Bennett.

Teresa Pinkley, volunteer coordinator, shared her appreciation with a speech and handed out a certificate and small gift to all volunteers. Two volunteers also were recognized for their contributions to our community.

2019 Community Volunteer of the Year: Cora Dell Johnson

Cora Dell has been volunteering at Presbyterian Manor for 23 years. She is an ombudsman for the community. She speaks on behalf of others. She spends numerous hours a month visiting with our residents listening to any concerns they may have. She then seeks to resolve any issues within the community.

2019 Community Volunteer of the Year: Kathy Crocker

Kathy is a special individual who truly is an essential part of her community. She plays the piano for two area church services each Sunday morning and she delivers Meals on Wheels. We are blessed by her talent as she leads a bell chime group each Wednesday at Presbyterian Manor. The lovely music rings through our halls for the residents to enjoy.
