Free event to features strategies for communicating with people with Alzheimer’s disease

Join Presbyterian Manor for a free virtual event on May 19 to explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. The event is one in a series of webinars exploring Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and some of the most important topics of concern to caregivers and those who are experiencing the disease.

Presbyterian Manor Art is Ageless® exhibit and reception features senior artists

Local senior artists will be celebrated April 21 through 23 at Farmington Presbyterian Manor as the community hosts its annual Art is Ageless® exhibit and continues to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Art is Ageless® program. The exhibit will be open to residents-only on site and posted to the community Facebook page. Winners will be announced at 2 p.m. April 23 via Facebook Live.
